Ilana Kraus
Born and raised in the US, I have been living in Israel for more than 40 years.
My academic background is varied. My undergraduate degree is in psychology, and I studied social work and education as well. My love for words led me to journalism and translation. After earning a diploma in translation, I took courses in technical communication and editing, and more recently in marketing writing. My interest in writing has taken a new turn, creative writing, and I continue to be involved in writing workshops and seminars.
Over the past 25 years, I have become a flexible and versatile editor, writer, and translator (Hebrew>English). I am able to adapt my abilities to many different disciplines, and I’m a stickler for accuracy and consistency in all my work.
I was in-house editor at Tel Aviv University’s Diaspora Research Center and taught editing at Beit Berl College for five years. My articles have been published in Ha‘Aretz, the Jerusalem Post, and local newspapers. I have written and edited web sites, newsletters, and brochures.
